Deliveroo are a UK high-growth tech-based food delivery business that operates in several markets across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Having recently gone through an IPO, they are focusing on strengthening their presence in key markets and ensuring future growth. Due to their growth Deliveroo have a continual need for fresh and exciting talent across multiple areas of the business. Having gone through the IPO process in April 2021 the business underwent a transformative change and realigned their focus to attract and hire talent with UK plc experience. During the height of the pandemic, there was a lot of movement in the market, meaning that post-COVID the market has been moving quickly and has been candidate short, particularly in the tech sector.
Deliveroo required a new search partner that had a far-reaching, international network and could work in an agile manner to keep up with the market and enable Deliveroo to achieve their objective of hiring great tech talent at pace in volume in a cost-effective manner.
In partnership with Deliveroo, Azura Search has created a bespoke framework whereby we work in collaboration with, and as an extension of, the internal talent acquisition team to execute on active vacancies across the business and to also create talent pools for Deliveroo for future appointments.
As an Executive Search firm with an extensive network across disruptive consumer tech businesses, we are able to engage candidates quickly and effectively. Additionally, where roles are confidential, we have gone to market anonymously on behalf of Deliveroo to access and unlock candidates that are not active on the market. As a business with other practices in Technology and Media, we can also search for lateral talent outside the consumer tech industry with profiles and skillsets of interest.
We have been able to work strategically with the Deliveroo internal talent team to join our networks and knowledge to find creative ways to attract the right talent. Furthermore, we are able to leverage our network domestically and internationally to reduce our time to hire – a key requirement for a fast-paced business like Deliveroo.
Deliveroo not only made immediate hires but also had ongoing access to a live and ‘warm’ pool of talent for the future. Due to the strong relationships that we have built between Azura and Deliveroo, we are able to be agile and produce solutions in a timely manner.
